Sprockhoff no. 825, 826

The large stone graves on the Buschhöhe , also referred to as Werpeloh IV + V , Sprockhoff no. 825 + 826, are twelve meters apart, about one kilometer east of the village of Werpeloh in the Sögel municipality , in the Emsland district in Lower Saxony . It was not possible to determine whether the relatively small systems were provided with a (possibly even common) enclosure. They originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. And are megalithic systems of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

Werpeloh IV

The east-west oriented facility Werpeloh IV has been almost completely preserved. Your access is on the southern long side. All ten bearing and three capstones with three-point support are at least partially preserved, the middle capstone is complete. The megalithic complex is a passage grave , its chamber is 2.7 meters wide and 6.3 meters long.

Werpeloh V

The Werpeloh V facility is also well preserved. It is unusually north-south oriented for local conditions. The large dolmen type , which is rare in the Emsland , has its entrance on the southern narrow side. All twelve cap and bearing stones are still there. The rather short chamber was 1.8 meters wide and 3.7 meters long.

The Steenhus von Werpeloh (Sprockhoff no. 822) as well as the large stone grave Werpeloh II (Sprockhoff no. 823) and the large stone grave Werpeloh III (Sprockhoff no. 824) are nearby .
