The megalithic grave Philippstal ( Danish : Pinninghøj ) was a megalithic grave complex of Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture near the district Roikier the community Steinbergkirche , Office Langballig in Schleswig-Flensburg , Schleswig-Holstein . It originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. Chr.
description
The grave was about 300 m from Gutshof Philippstal , on the road to Steinbergkirche-Gintoft . Information is only possible through the description of Pastor Harries from the 1830s. Accordingly, it is a north-south oriented megalithic complex of the funnel beaker culture , which between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC originated. At 140 paces (about 105 m) long and 60 paces (about 45 m) wide, it was unusually large. The mound bed was divided lengthways into two halves by a row of stones. According to Pastor Harries, there were three chambers: two were at the ends of the two giant beds. Another, small burial chamber is said to have been in the middle of the western megalithic bed. This had two flat, reddish cap stones. Ernst Sprockhoff lists the large stone grave in his atlas of megalithic graves under number 33. Jakob Röschmann mentions five other graves nearby, about which no further details are available.
