Groitschen is a district of Brahmenau in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

Groitschen is located northeast of Gera in the Ronneburg arable and mining area on the edge of the Leipzig lowland bay and is east of the center of Brahmenau, of which it is part. The area is characterized by traffic routes and green erosion channels and streams.
history
Groitschen was first mentioned as a village on November 9, 1121. The village church was built from 1785 to 1788 . On October 1, 1937, Groitschen was incorporated into Culm . Culm was renamed Brahmenau on November 13, 1937 .
