The Grootberg is a table mountain in Damaraland , Kunene region , Namibia with a height of 1640 m above sea level. The mountain is of volcanic origin and forms a U-shaped plateau open to the south over the canyon of the Klip Rivier. The Klip is a left tributary of the Ugab .
The Grootberg is located around 80 km west of Kamanjab . The mountain can also be reached from Twyfelfontein or Torra Bay via the Grootberg Pass and the main road C39 . A lodge of the same name is located on the Grootberg.
