The Fresenius I mine is a former non-ferrous metal ore mine in the Bensberg ore district in Overath . It was south of the village of Wiedenhof in Heiligenhaus .
history
A mutation of the AG for mining, lead and zinc production in Stolberg and in Westphalia on zinc ores dated October 10, 1893. In the final hearing on November 11, 1893 it was found that the Fresenius I field was partially covered by the Achenbach mine , Grube Arago , Grube Bavaria , Grube Fresenius , Grube Hermann , Grube Petersberg and Grube Wallenstein , which were not lent for zinc ores in the area of the Fresenius I mine field . Accordingly, the Fresenius I mine field was awarded for zinc ore on December 12, 1893. According to the abandonment of July 10, 1936, AG des Altenbergs became new owner on January 31, 1939.
