The Achenbach mine is a former non-ferrous metal ore mine in the Bensberg ore district in Overath . It was in the vicinity of Mittelbech and Heidermühle in Steinenbrück .

history

From November 1, 1873, an application for a mutation for the Längenfeld Achenbach in Heidermühle for iron, lead and copper ores was made. The field survey of November 29, 1873 showed a 1 m thick corridor with 30 cm of rough iron stone , into which rough lead ore and copper pebbles had been blasted. This was followed by the final hearing on December 4, 1873. Before that, however, the representative of the AG des Altenberg , Conrad Pörting, intervened with a letter dated December 1, 1873 that, according to the protocol of the field inspection, Henriette modo Arago was interested in cover , lead, copper ore and Eisenstein of July 1, 1853 and later conversion and expansion deed as Geviertfeld excludes the extraction of these ores elsewhere within the Geviertfeld. It is stated by protocol that the named minerals occur in the Arago mine field in such a context that they have to be extracted jointly. On April 14, 1874 came to the following decision: On the rights to the mine field mine Arago nothing changes, especially for the neighboring mine field mine Bavaria same rights apply. The award then took place on December 31, 1874 under the name Achenbach for the extraction of iron, lead and copper ores. The parts of the field of the Hermann mine were excluded from this award . Nothing is known about operational activities.
