Grundelbachtal was a short-lived community in the Hessian district of Bergstrasse , which included the two neighboring towns of Gorxheim and Unter-Flockenbach and which soon became part of the Gorxheimertal community after it was founded .

Geographical location

The area of ​​the municipality of Grundelbachtal was in the Odenwald east of Weinheim on the state border between Hesse and Baden-Württemberg . Both districts of the municipality are located in the valley of the named Grundelbach , a left tributary of the Weschnitz in Weinheim.

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Grundelbachtal was created on December 31, 1970 through the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Gorxheim and Unter-Flockenbach. In the further course of the regional reform, this new formation started exactly one year later to the day together with the municipality of Trösel in the municipality of Gorxheimertal.
