The Grundsbach is a 4.8 km long left tributary of the Oelze in the Thuringian Slate Mountains .

The source of the Grundsbach is 648 m above sea level. NN near the Wiegandsmühle west of Großbreitenbach . In the further course it flows through the Grundstal past the Grundsmühle and the holiday village Hundertpfund , before it flows into the Oelze at the level of the Lieutenant Mill .
