history

In 1949 , Pasteurizadora Laguna (legally “Unión de crédito de productores de leche de Torreón”) was founded in Torreón , Coahuila . By 1950 they founded their first pasteurization and distribution plant for dairy products.

In 1985, with their national growth in Mexico, they established Fundación Lala, which distributes basic resources to marginalized areas of Mexico. In 1987, the first ultra-pasteurization plant was built in Torreón, Coahuila. In 1989, following the measures taken by the Mexican government to eradicate obesity, they founded Maratón Lala .

Following the publication of agreements to reduce climate change by the United Nations, the first Tecnopack packaging factory was built in 1997.

In 2003 they acquired the Mexican dairy Nutri-Leche . In 2007 they founded the Instituto Lala , which promotes and researches healthy lifestyles and eating habits as well as the prevention of chronic diseases. In 2008 they acquired the Colombian pasteurization company Foremost and in the same year they founded Universad Lala , a university with currently around 50 institutions.

For 2011 she established her first research and development center in Torreón. In 2013, she began posting stock offers on Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV). In 2014 she acquired the Nicaraguan company Eskimo . In 2015 he joined the Sustainable IPC of Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, opened his first overseas factory in Nicaragua and received the National Agrifood Award.

For 2016 she acquired the Nicaraguan company La Perfecta and entered into strategic alliances with Coopeleche and Fifco in Costa Rica . In the same year, they set up their first three factories in the United States . For 2017 it will open its Global Services Center in Gómez Palacio, Durango, and build its first center for sausage technology and innovation in Tizayuca. In the same year it acquired the Brazilian company Vigor .
