The Grupo Petrópolis is the second largest brewery group in Brazil . The private brewery produces beer , soft drinks and vodka at seven locations .

history

Walter Faria , born in 1955, bought a brewery in Petrópolis in 1998. He was able to develop a brewery group out of this brewery, in which 26,000 employees brew over 20 million hectoliters of beer annually. In 2010 the company acquired a license to produce Weltenburger beer . Walter Faria handed over management to his then 28-year-old daughter Giulia Faria in connection with his arrest in 2019 .
