subsidiary company

The subsidiaries of the Guangzhou Automobile Group can essentially be divided into three types:

(a) Subsidiaries that serve to give GAC a certain degree of penetration in the market and help the group to adapt quickly to market processes:

  • The subsidiary GAC Motor, founded in 2008, could be classified in this category ;

(c) Companies that have been induced to set up as a result of recent developments such as electromobility . This includes:

car brands

The emergence of the company's car brands can partly be traced back to company activities, but partly also to company acquisitions.

A larger range of car models is built under the main GAC brand , to which certain sub -brands have been subordinated. The main brand is the one that is found on the front end and front grilles of the various models as a stylized "G".

In addition to the main brand, there is the sub-brand "GAC Aion", which is a sub-brand for electric cars. In addition to the main brand, there is also the sub-brand " GAC Trumpchi ", under which combustion engines, hybrids and also electric cars are named.

Furthermore, there are the brands that do not come under the main brand, but have remained independent and have entered the group portfolio through company acquisitions:

There are the car brands " Gonow ", the former symbolized by a stylized "G" in a ring, and "Changfeng Liebao" (Lièbào), the latter being "Leopaard" (spelled with two A). The takeover of local manufacturers has also triggered the Group's own developments in terms of the range of models. GAC Changfeng Motor on the one hand and Zhejiang Gonow Automobile on the other hand are mentioned , with other sources indicating that GAG and Zhejiang founded the joint venture GAC Gonow Automobile in 2010, i.e. Zhejiang was not taken over in 2010. Both of the acquired companies, whose brands initially continued to exist, had previously mainly produced off-road vehicles and related vehicle categories. However, Changfeng had already started developing a notchback sedan before its takeover, which is now called " Changfeng Zhuo Yue ".

In addition, there are the brands that were created through the joint ventures that the parent company GAIG entered into with other manufacturers:

For example, the “ Everus ” brand came about as part of the Guanqi Honda joint venture.
