Guanshanhu ( Chinese  观 山湖 区 , Pinyin Guānshānhú Qū ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Guiyang in the Chinese province of Guizhou . It administers a territory of 307 square kilometers, of which 64.5 square kilometers are built-up, and on which a resident population of about 500,000 people lived in 2018.

Guanshanhu was founded in 2000 under the name "New District Xinyang" (金阳 新区) to relieve the city center of Guizhou. It was expanded into a new center for trade, finance and transport. The population and the gross domestic product of the district are growing correspondingly rapidly. In November 2012, the State Council approved the construction of a separate city district from the New District and some neighboring industrial development areas.

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district at the end of 2018 three sets large municipalities and ten residential communities together. These are:

• Large communities Jinhua (金华 镇), Zhuchang (朱昌 镇), Baihuahu (百花 湖镇)
• Residential communities Shijicheng (世纪城 社区), Jinyuan (金 源 社区), Yijing (逸 景 社区), Bihai (碧海 社区), Jinmai (金 麦 社区), Xinshiji (新世界 社区), Jinhuayuan (金华 园 社区), Jinling (金岭 社区), Huizhan (会展 社区), Guanshan (观 山 社区)

At the village level is above administrative units of 49 set villages and 79 residential communities together.
