Gudrun Behm-Steidel

Gudrun Behm-Steidel (born September 29, 1958 in Hanover ) is a former professor of information management at Hanover University .

Life

After training as a bookseller (1977–79), she studied library science at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences (1979–83) . As a qualified librarian, Gudrun Behm-Steidel worked from 1983 to 1992 at the university libraries in Paderborn and later in Hildesheim .

Since 1992 she has been a teacher in the Information and Communication (IK) department at the FH Hannover. In 1995 she conceived and supervised the specialization of special libraries / internal information facilities.

After completing her doctorate at the Philosophical Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2001 , she was professor at the IK faculty at today's Hanover University of Applied Sciences since 2002, specializing in library, information and knowledge management. From 2003 to 2009 she was dean of studies . In 2005 she helped to set up the in-service training program for information and knowledge management and led it until her retirement in March 2019.

After further training as a coach for professional development / business coach at Dr. Petra Bock Coaching Academy, Gudrun Behm-Steidel has also been working as a coach and consultant (Lernlift, Hanover) since 2012 .
