Gudrun Lerchbaum (* 13. April 1965 in Vienna as Gudrun Hepperle ) is an Austrian writer .

Live and act

Gudrun Lerchbaum grew up in Vienna, Paris and Düsseldorf . She began to study philosophy in Düsseldorf , but then returned to Vienna in 1986 to study architecture at the Vienna University of Technology . She graduated with a diploma and then worked for several years as an architect . In addition, she designed art in architecture and textile art .

She started writing in 2007 and published short prose pieces and aphorisms in numerous anthologies from 2009 onwards . Her first novel, Die Venetianerin und der Baumeister , was published in 2015 , which has since been followed by two more.

Gudrun Lerchbaum is a member of the authors' associations Herland , Das Syndikat , Murderous Sisters and Austrian crime writers . She is the mother of a daughter and a stepdaughter, and today she lives as a freelance writer with her husband in Vienna.
