Guglielmo Andreini

Guglielmo Andreini (born September 23, 1954 ) is an Italian enduro athlete . During his career he won the European Championship several times .

Career

In 1970 Andreini began his sporting career in the class up to 50 cm³. the following year he won the FMI trophy on a Penton in the class up to 100 cm³. In 1978 he won the Italian championship in the class up to 500 cm³ with an SWM. The following year he won the European Championship in this class, was a member of the victorious Italian Six Days Trophy team and became Italian Motocross Champion. In 1980 he defended the European title and won the Italian off-road race Valli Bergamasche .

In 1981 he became Italian champion in the class up to 500 cm³ on a Maico. The following year he defended this title and became European champion. Andreini won the Valli Bergamasche again this year. His victory in the national championship was repeated the following year on Maico and later on Husqvarna.

In 1984 he was European champion with a Honda in the 500 cc four-stroke class . In 1986 he became Italian champion in this class with a Husqvarna, and he also won the international six-day race in Italy with the Italian national team .

Guglielmo Andreini took part in a six-day race 17 times and won 15 gold medals.

From 1993 Andreini worked as a mechanic in Giacomo Agostini's Cagiva - Motorcycle World Championship team for John Kocinski . He later worked for various other teams in the 500 cm³ World Cup, including taking care of Luca Cadalora . Andreini then went to the Superbike World Championship , where he worked on the Ducati factory team for Carl Fogarty , Ben Bostrom and Rubén Xaus . He also looked after Loris Capirossi in the Ducati MotoGP team as well as Marco Melandri and Makoto Tamada in the MotoGP class . In 2007 Andreini worked as a mechanic for Max Biaggi in the Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra team in the Superbike World Championship. He has been working for the Pramac team in the MotoGP class since 2008 and is currently in charge of Aleix Espargaró .
