Guidimaka ( Arabic ولاية غيديماغا, DMG Wilāyat Ġīdīmāġā ) is the southernmost region of the African state of Mauritania and is the sixth administrative district of the country, covering only a small area.

The capital is Sélibaby ; Guidimaka is divided into two departments: Sélibaby and Ould Yengé .

In the southwest the Senegal River forms the border to the state of the same name , in the southeast Guidimaka borders on Mali , in the northeast on the administrative region of Assaba and in the northwest on Gorgol . At the 2017 census, the population of the region was 294,500.
