Guido Köstermeyer
Guido Köstermeyer (born March 30, 1968 in Minden ) is a German climber and author.
In 1989, Köstermeyer succeeded in repeating the Wall Street route , which Wolfgang Güllich first climbed in 1987. He was also successful as a first-time climber and in competitions, including being the first German to win a World Cup . In alpine sport climbing, Guido was able to do onsight ascents from the path through the fish (Marmolada, UIAA 9- ) and the Alpenliebe ( Drei Zinnen, 9) and a red point ascent of the Hoabuachenen (Urlkopf, 10-). From 1998 to 2000, Köstermeyer trained the German national sport climbing team. He has also published several books on the subject of climbing training and is the head of university sports at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . On March 19, 2011, he was elected vice-president of the German Alpine Club at the regular meeting of the association's council.
