Guido Kern
Guido Kern (born February 24, 1961 in Duisburg ) is a German chess player and trainer.
His first club was PSV Duisburg , then he moved to PSV / BSV Wuppertal , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga chess league in the 1994/95 season and played in the first division from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 he played for SV Mülheim-Nord (including from 2004 to 2007 in the 1st Bundesliga), since 2008 he has played for SV Dinslaken . In Belgian leagues he plays for KSK 47 Eynatten . With Eynatten he was Belgian team champion in the 2005/06 , 2009/10 , 2010/11 and 2013/14 seasons.
In 1993 he received the title of FIDE Master , in 1996 the title of International Master . Its Elo rating is 2340 (as of September 2015) and its highest to date is 2415 in July 1997.
He is B-Trainer of the German Chess Federation and from 1998 headed the Essen / Mülheim base of the Chess Federation NRW .
