Guido Lucas

Guido Lucas (* August 24, 1964 ; † September 11, 2017 ) was a German music producer and musician. He was the founder of the indie label bluNoise and owner of the bluBox recording studio in Troisdorf . He was also the head of the Krautrock- influenced music collective Lude, was a founding member of Les Hommes Qui Wear Espandrillos , which he left in 1996, and played with Scumbucket from 2000 to 2008 . He was also the bass player for Ken and Genetiks for the Nuremberg wave punk rockers . From 2003 to 2012, Lucas played Bass at Genepool .

Production activity

Lucas founded bluNoise in the mid-1990s as the result of experiences from touring with Les Hommes Qui Wear Espandrillos and was then influenced by the ideology of American indie labels . He works primarily with alternative and noise rock bands from the underground. Some of the better known of the bands he produced included ULMe , Les Hommes Qui Wear Espandrillos, Harmful , Blackmail , Scumbucket, Donots , Pendikel , Jelly Planet and Urlaub in Polen . His work earned him the reputation of being the German “indie pope” ( Kurt Ebelhäuser ).
