Guillaume Warmuz (born May 22, 1970 in Saint-Vallier , France ) is a former French football goalkeeper .

Career

His first stop was at INF Clairefontaine in the 1988/89 season. In the next season he was under contract with Olympique Marseille and again a year later with CS Louhans-Cuiseaux . There he played for two years until he finally moved to RC Lens for eleven years . He ran 353 times for the club. At the beginning of 2003 he moved to the traditional English club Arsenal FC until the end of the season . However, after a short time he did not feel comfortable there and tried his luck with the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund , who in return had Jens Lehmann move to London. Here there was always competition between him and Roman Weidenfeller . In two years he guarded the gate of the black and yellow a total of 25 times. In the summer of 2005 he was drawn back to the French Ligue 1 for AS Monaco . In his first season he played 23 games. In the 2006/07 season he was unable to play due to a torn cruciate ligament and ended his career in May 2007.

Warmuz completed a total of ten games for the French U-21 national team .
