Guillermo Tineo Leigue

Guillermo Tineo Leigue , "Pibe" (* 1929 in Trinidad ; † March 23, 2011 ibid) was a Bolivian politician , farmer and diplomat .

Life

Guillermo Tineo Leigue was married to Zaida Fernández and they had four children. In the legislative periods from 1966 to 1969, 1979 to 1980 and from 1982 to 1989 he sat for the Partido de la Izquierda Revolucionaria (PIR) as one of the three representatives for the Beni Department in the Bolivian Senate . As a senator, he pushed through subsidies for the former Corporación de Desarrollo del Beni (CORDEBENI).

In 1968 he was one of the founders of the Federación de Ganaderos del Beni y Pando (FEGABENI) in the village of Reyes , of which he was chairman from 1971 to 1972 and as such from January 1971 moved the organ of "El Ganadero". He pioneered the introduction of the zebu in milk production and meat production . Zebus were insaminated in his Cabaña San Antonio , a suburb of Trinidad on the road to San Javier . He was the first president of the Asociación Bolviana de Criadores del Cebú (ASOCEBÙ)

When his cousin Inti Peredo was killed in a dispute with the Bolivian authorities, he successfully demanded the surrender of the body. Guillermo Tineo Leigue accompanied the body on the flight with a police escort in a military plane to San Ramón , where it was buried. On returning to La Paz, he expressed his brotherly love and conviction and resigned from his offices.

Luis García Meza Tejada was the commander of the Regimiento de Caballería Ballivián in Trinidad in the 1970s. From July 17, 1980 to August 4, 1981, under the dictatorship of Luis García Meza Tejada, extensive properties in the departments of Beni, Santa Cruz and La Paz were owned by the friends of the dictator. Pibe did not participate in the trial of Luis García Meza Tejada.

In 1985 he was Vice President of the Andean Parliament . In 1989 he was appointed ambassador to Paraguay , where he was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit . The plenary session of the Bolivian Senate observed a minute's silence in honor of Guillermo Tineo Leigue .
