Guilty! ( English for guilty , criminal ) is a 1971 released music album by Eric Burdon and Jimmy Witherspoon .

After the separation from Eric Burdon & War , the album was released from July to September 1971 by Burdon and Witherspoon together with War band members, the band was called Tovarich , in MGM Studios, Wally Heider's Studios and in John Phillips Studio (title Home Dream ) recorded. The track Going Down Slow was recorded live on location at the San Quentin State Prison with the Far Out Mobile Unit, together with Ike White & the San Quentin Prison Band . Contrary to interview statements by Burdon that the album is a live album from the performance in prison in May 1971, Going Down Slow is the only live track on the album. At the time of recording in May, Burdon was accompanied by the band War.

In 1976 the album came out with a new cover under the title Black & White Blues , and in 1995 it was regemastered as a CD .

Guilty! was the only collaboration between Eric Burdon and Jimmy Witherspoon. The album ranks 97th in the list of the 100 best albums of all time at the Italian e-zine Viceversa .
