The Taluk Gummidipoondi ( Tamil : கும்மிடிப்பூண்டி வட்டம் ) is a Taluk (sub-district) of the Tiruvallur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu . The main town is the eponymous city of Gummidipoondi .

The Taluk Gummidipoondi is located in the northeast of the Tiruvallur district on the border with the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh . It borders the Taluks Ponneri in the southeast and Uthukkottai in the southwest. In the north lies the border with Andhra Pradesh

The Taluk rubber dipoondi is congruent with the block of the same name. Its area is 421 square kilometers.
