The Gumpenbach is a 1.0 km long torrent in Tyrol .
It arises from two spring branches in the Gumpenkar, partially seeps into the rubble, emerges again and then seeps away again for good; long before it could reach the Rißbach above ground, in whose catchment area it is located. The Gumpenkarsteig runs across the stream to the Gamsjoch .
