Gunda Aurich

Gunda Aurich (* 1965 in Sangerhausen ) is a German screenwriter , radio play and voice actor , as well as actress and director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Aurich first studied acting at the Ernst Busch University in Berlin, where she received the Goethe scholarship. Various engagements followed, including at the Schiller Theater in Berlin , the Kölner Schauspielhaus , the Maxim-Gorki Theater in Berlin and the Schauspielhaus in Zurich and participated in theater festivals such as the Wiener Festwochen and the Berliner Festwochen . She also gained fame through her performances as an evil and imperious princess in the great GDR fairy tale classic Rapunzel or The Magic of Tears (1988) directed by Ursula Schmenger and through the television film Burning Life (1994).

She writes scripts for various theater productions especially for children (including the jungle book) and works as a voice actress in various television and radio play productions ( Die Sendung mit der Maus , King Arthur and the Round Table). The ARD radio play database contains over 160 records in which she has been a speaker since 1990.

She received the radio play award for her role as Sofie in Sofie's World , a production by SWF and MDR .

She has worked as a director for theater and opera projects at the Landesttheater Altenburg , the Schlosstheater in the New Palace in Potsdam and the Kleist Forum in Frankfurt an der Oder. She has been a director at the New Theater Halle since 2010 .
