Gunnleifur Vignir Gunnleifsson (born July 14, 1975 in Akranes ) is an Icelandic football player on the position of goalkeeper . He is a longtime goalkeeper for the Icelandic national team .

Apart from a short break at FC Vaduz , Gunnleifur played for various Icelandic clubs throughout his career. He is currently the regular goalkeeper for the first division club Breiðablik Kópavogur .

He played his first three games for the Icelandic national soccer team in 2000 and 2001. After a long break, he played regularly from 2008 to 2010 and then sporadically until his last game in 2014. Until he was not considered for the European Football Championship in 2016 , he was also a regular substitute goalkeeper in the Icelandic squad.
