Gunther Schmache

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gunther Schmäche is one of the German radio presenter and singer January Schlegel developed fictional character in which he as a radio host , radio comedian and comedy - singer occurs. The use of the Saxon dialect in texts and songs is a disgraceful trademark . He was also known as the author of dialect publications.

The fictional character

The character Gunther Schmache combines cabaret, comedic and folk-“country team” elements. For his comedy type, Jan Schlegel, who was born in Saxony in 1970 , grew up there and now lives in Leipzig , Saxony , uses various clichés such as that of a " philistine " ( Radio PSR : "the allotment gardener from Kleinpösna with his Saxon snout") and partly also used by a proletarian .

Schlegel was first under contract as Gunther Schmache with the private radio broadcaster NRJ Sachsen , later he switched to the “Private Saxon Broadcasting”, Radio PSR . Schmäches (Schlegel's) music style can be classified between Schlager and Pop . But he also appears as a songwriter in the Saxon dialect.

Under the pseudonym of his fictional character Gunther Schmache , Schlegel published, among other things, a fictional biography as well as translations into Saxon dialect of Goethe's Faust II and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet .

Schmache (Schlegel) also appears at public events (“Saxony's allotment gardener Gunther Schmache”, “Saxony cult presenter Gunther Schmache”) and sometimes stages himself in public.
