Gustav Adolph Erdmann Vitalis Bolle (born March 11, 1842 in Angerburg , † June 8, 1902 in Berlin ) was a teacher, landowner and a German playwright and novelist . Pseudonyms: G. Erdmann, G. Adolfi.

The pastor's son studied history, geography and German in Königsberg , Halle and Greifswald . After a brief activity as a teacher at the Evangelical Gymnasium in Gütersloh and at the secondary school in Itzehoe , he was able to live as a rentier in Bonn and Berlin from 1871 - after winning the lottery . In 1882 he bought the castle and estate Ovelgönne near Bad Oeynhausen .

His novel Sozial was published in 1891 by the Friedrich Fontane publishing house in Berlin and propagated the agricultural cooperative system in the spirit of Ferdinand Lassalle . It is one of the few social utopias penned by German authors. The social novel His Relationship takes place in Berlin.

Gustav Bolle was married to Wilhelmine Sofie Poggenklas (1848–1876) for the first time. The couple had three children together. In his second marriage, he was in a relationship with Gisberta Julie Allida Wachendorff (1857-1904), who came from a Rhenish industrial family. With her he fathered a son, Fritz Bolle, who emigrated to the USA in 1911.
