Gustav Fremerey

Gustav Fremerey (born April 8, 1902 in Kiel , † December 21, 1987 in Heidelberg ) was a German economist.

Career

After studying and doing a doctorate at the Albertus University in Königsberg , he worked in the Reich Ministry of Economics from 1935 to 1939 . From 1939 to 1945 he worked in the regional economic office in Reichenberg, where from 1942 he was chief economic director. Between 1943 and 1945 he was seconded to the State Ministry for Bohemia and Moravia as general advisor for economics.

After the end of the war, he worked in the private sector from 1947 to 1950. In 1950 he entered the service of the Federal Ministry of Economics and in 1951 became President of the Federal Office for the Movement of Goods in the Commercial Economy (from 1954: Federal Office for Commercial Economy).
