Gustav Hass

Gustav Hass (born March 11, 1872 in Lippinken , Pomerania ; † March 1, 1932 in Neustrelitz ) was a German naval officer , most recently in the character of a rear admiral .

Life

Hass entered the Imperial Navy as a cadet on April 10, 1891 . After basic training , he was appointed sea ​​cadet on April 11, 1892 . His further theoretical and practical training followed until he was promoted to sub-lieutenant at sea on September 20, 1894 . On June 15, 1897 he was promoted to lieutenant in the sea (renamed Oberleutnant zur See on January 1, 1899). This was followed by further commands on land and at sea, as well as further promotion to lieutenant captain on March 28, 1903. 1906-07 Hass was used on the small cruiser SMS Niobe , which occupied the naval station there as part of the East Asia Squadron . On March 27, 1909, he was promoted to corvette captain.

Hass was released on January 26, 1920 and returned to Germany. During the voyage he was promoted to sea captain on January 30 , the patent was dated April 24, 1916.

Shortly after his arrival in Germany, Boethke was retired from service on July 15, 1920, and was given the character of rear admiral.

After the war he worked in the forestry service in Pomerania and Mecklenburg . Hass died in Neustrelitz in 1932.

Hass was married with two children who lived in northern China during the war and later in Japan. Her wife moved to Berlin after his death .
