Gustav Neumann (architect)

Gustav Ritter von Neumann (born June 19, 1859 in Dornbach ; † May 14, 1928 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

The son of the Duke-Coburg architect Franz von Neumann the Elder and brother of Franz Ritter von Neumann graduated from high school in 1877. Subsequently, he was an extraordinary student at the building school of the Technical University of Vienna . In 1884 he moved to the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the master school Friedrich von Schmidt. In 1887 he became court architect of Prince Johann II. Liechtenstein . He retired at the end of 1925.

Neumann was married to Irene, née Wellspacher. From this marriage, the son Gustav Franz (1892-1939) was born.
