Gustav Richter (born January 20, 1827 in Primkenau , Sprottau district ; † before 1903) was a Silesian merchant and factory owner and a member of the Reichstag of the German Empire .

Life

Gustav Richter was a businessman and factory owner in Mühlrädlitz , Lüben district . In March 1882 he won a substitute election for the German Progressive Party (DFP) in the Reichstag constituency Liegnitz 4 ( Lüben , Bunzlau ). In 1883 he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment "for insulting the members of the lordly house and for libeling majesty". At the same time, his mandate in the Reichstag was revoked. In June 1884, his party friend Philipp Schmieder won the replacement election that was required .
