Philipp Schmieder

Philipp Schmieder (born September 24, 1830 in Breslau ; † November 11, 1914 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schmieder attended grammar school in Breslau and studied law at the universities of Breslau and Berlin . In 1850 he became a member of the Raczek fraternity in Breslau . In 1853 he entered the legal preparatory service. In 1857 he became a court assessor, in 1858 a district judge and in 1875 a judge of appeal in Poznan . From 1879 he was a senior judge in Breslau.

In June 1884 he was first elected to the German Reichstag for the constituency of Liegnitz 4 ( Lüben , Bunzlau ) in a by-election for the resigned MP Adalbert Falk . He remained its member until 1903 for the German Liberal Party . From 1882 to 1885 and again from 1887 to 1903 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he successively elected the constituencies of Breslau District 11 ( Ohlau - Brieg ), from 1887 to 1893 the constituency of Posen 1 (city district of Posen) and from 1894 to 1903 Represented the constituency of Wroclaw District 4 (Wroclaw City District).
