Gustav Rochus Sick

Gustav Rochus Sick (born June 27, 1803 in Berlin , † March 27, 1855 in Rothenburg an der Oder near Grünberg in Silesia ) was a German doctor and parliamentarian.

Life

Gustav Rochus Sick was the son of the veterinarian and professor at the veterinary school Georg Friedrich Sick (1760-1829). He attended the Joachimsthal High School in Berlin until Easter 1822 and then studied medicine at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University in Breslau from 1822 . He became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau . In 1825 he was in Berlin with a thesis De luxatione femoris Dr. med. PhD. Sick published some medical articles in medical journals. He practiced as a doctor and became a medical advisor in Rothenburg in Silesia .

In 1849, Sick sat in the first legislative period as a member of the Liegnitz constituency in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the Left Center faction.
