Gustav Theodor Drobisch

Gustav Theodor Drobisch (born December 26, 1811 in Dresden ; † April 15, 1882 there ) was a German writer , journalist and actor .

Life

Drobisch came from the Saxon residence city of Dresden and was the son of a theater musician. In 1819 his parents moved with him from Dresden to Leipzig. At the local university , he studied philosophy. He pursued various professions, for example was a brief actor in the Prussian district town of Naumburg (Saale) .

Then he worked as an editor. In 1860 he took over the editing of the Dresdner Nachrichten . From 1872 he edited the feature section of the "Dresdner Presse" and was a member of the literary association in Dresden.
