Gustav Wilhelm Lichtenberg

Gustav Adolph Georg Wilhelm Lichtenberg (born December 10, 1811 in Pfungstadt , † April 23, 1879 in Mannheim ) was a Hessian regional court assessor and member of the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Gustav Wilhelm Lichtenberg was the son of the pastor in Pfungstadt and dean Friedrich Lichtenberg (1770-1846) and his wife Friederike nee Malcomesius (1779-1851). Lichtenberg, who was a Protestant denomination, married Karoline Wilhelmine Friederike, née Rexroth, on November 11, 1841 in Pfungstadt (born April 3, 1821 in Schöllenbach near Kailbach; † October 31, 1843 in Michelstadt), the daughter of the hammer owner in Schöllenbach Friedrich Rexroth and his Wife Eva née Kredel. Lichtenberg studied law at the University of Giessen from 1830 to 1833 . During his studies he became a member of the Gießen fraternity of Teutonia in 1832 and subsequently a member of the Corps Starkenburgia Gießen. Later he was also noted in the "Black Book" of the Frankfurt Federal Central Authority because of his fraternity activities .

After completing his studies, he became a court court advisor there. From 1841 he was a regional court assessor at the Michelstadt regional court , from 1848 at the Lorsch regional court , from 1850 at the Homberg / Ohm regional court and from 1853 at the Altenstadt regional court . On December 17, 1862, he was dismissed by a confirming judgment of the court in Giessen .

In 1850 he was an elected member of the First Chamber of the State Parliament of the Grand Duchy of Hesse (constituency 3 Homberg and Alsfeld).
