Gustav von Arnim (politician)

Friedrich Bernhard Gustav von Arnim (born May 29, 1820 on Gut Criewen, Angermünde district , Brandenburg ; † August 2, 1904 in Schwedt an der Oder , Uckermark district , Brandenburg) was a landowner and Prussian politician.

family

He came from an old Brandenburg aristocratic family and was the son of the landowner Otto von Arnim (1785–1857), lord of the Criewen estate.

Arnim married on July 31, 1849 in Berlin Klara von Prillwitz (* October 21, 1831 in Berlin; † July 24, 1883 in Wiesbaden ), the illegitimate and youngest daughter of the Prussian general of the infantry August von Prillwitz from the long-term marriage-like connection with the Jewess Auguste Arend . Like her mother before, Klara was raised to the Prussian nobility on December 17, 1831 in Berlin with the name "von Prillwitz". The sons Bernd von Arnim (1850–1939), landowner, Prussian state minister and member of the Prussian mansion , as well as the Prussian major general Hans von Arnim (1855–1911) come from this marriage .

Life

Arnim was the landlord of the Criewen and Densen estates (both in the Angermünde district) and from 1885 until his death (1904) he was a member of the Prussian manor house.
