The Gutshaus Neuhof is a listed manor house in Neuhof , a part of the municipality of Wünsdorf , a district of the town of Zossen in the Teltow-Fläming district in the state of Brandenburg .

location

The federal road 96 leads from the north in a southerly direction to the residential area. From there, the road to the Wolziger See branches off to the east at Wolziger See . The manor house is to the west of the road and thus east of federal highway 96.

history

The building was built in 1757. This was preceded by the clearing of the Wolziger lynx by initially twelve families from Klein Ziescht . In the years 1890/1900 an unspecified renovation took place. In the 1930s the estate was used by a canning factory that processed meat from Berlin . The farm buildings were converted into factories and storage rooms, while the administration moved into the manor house.

After the Second World War , production in the VEB Havelland fruit and vegetable processing Beelitz, vegetables, canned fruit and fish continued as the Neuhof plant. In 1972 a warehouse was built northeast of the manor house and a boiler house to the southwest. The state of construction of the factory deteriorated due to a lack of investment. Parts of the manor house had to be abandoned, the construction of a septic tank was not approved. The plant closed at the end of April 1990.

From 1991 to 1992 another renovation took place. From 1993 a real estate and financial brokerage company planned a holiday home and leisure complex on the site. The factory buildings were demolished, the manor house renovated and leased to a restaurateur. It will be empty in 2020.

Building description

View from the east

The building has a rectangular floor plan that was erected on a low basement . The building was then built with side elevations as well as another centrally positioned elevation facing the garden. There is a large terrace with an outside staircase that leads into the garden. On the street side there is a polygonal tower extension with a likewise polygonal roof. The windows on the ground floor are rectangular and partially decorated with plaster elements. In the mansard roof , tall rectangular windows were used on the side projections, and in the tower round-arched windows. The originally cranked cornices and arched window canopies are no longer there. Hiltrud and Carsten Preuß regret that the renovation work has "blurred" the original architectural design. The construction of the holiday home area and the significant changes in the area resulted in a "disparate picture".
