Gwydion Pendderwen

Gwydion Pendderwen (born May 21, 1946 in Berkeley , California , † November 9, 1982 ; actually Thomas deLong) was an American singer-songwriter , author and environmental activist . It is at least partially assigned to the Psychedelic Folk .

Personal

Musically influenced by psychedelic rock , folk , country and bluegrass , Pendderwen celebrated his breakthrough in 1976 with an appearance on the Welsh Eisteddfod , several albums and a songbook followed. Pendderwen was an activist of modern neo-paganism and, among other things, dealt with the various forms of modern witchcraft like Wicca , Stregheria, the Feri tradition, Dianic and celtic witchcraft but also ceremonial magic , shamanism and druidism . He was a member of the pantheistic Church of All Worlds and the Reformed Druids of North America . He was also active in re-enactment in the Society for Creative Anachronism .
