Hallekis is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish municipality of Götene in the province of Västra Götalands län . It is located about 14 kilometers northwest of Götene on the shores of Lake Vänern and has 683 inhabitants (2015).
Hallekis was an early industrial town, largely dominated by the cement factory that is now closed. From the industrial heyday, a workers' settlement from the turn of the century around 1900 has been preserved (Falkängens bruksgata), which was renovated in 1983 and is now a handicraft center with small handicraft shops and a youth hostel.
On the outskirts is the Hönsäter Castle , now a hotel, and a few kilometers southwest of the Hellekis manor . The Kinnekulleleden hiking trail leads through Hällekis .
