Héctor Luis Lucas Peña Gómez (born October 18, 1929 in Velasco ) is former bishop of Holguín .

Life

Héctor Luis Lucas Peña Gómez was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Santiago de Cuba on July 25, 1952 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 12, 1970 auxiliary bishop in Santiago de Cuba and titular bishop of Novaliciana . The representative of the Holy See in Cuba , Cesare Zacchi , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Pedro Claro Meurice Estiu , Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba and Francisco Ricardo Oves Fernández , Archbishop of San Cristóbal de la Habana .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Holguín on January 8, 1979 . On November 14, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
