Emilio Aranguren Echeverría

Emilio Aranguren Echeverría (born September 2, 1950 in Santa Clara ) is Bishop of Holguín .

Life

Emilio Aranguren Echeverría was ordained a priest on February 1, 1976 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Cellae in Proconsulari and auxiliary bishop in Cienfuegos-Santa Clara on April 30, 1991 .

The bishop of Cienfuegos-Santa Clara, Fernando Ramon Prego Casal , gave him episcopal ordination on June 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Siro González Bacallao , Bishop of Pinar del Río , and Pedro Claro Meurice Estiu , Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba .

On April 1, 1995, with the partition of the diocese, he was appointed Bishop of Cienfuegos. He was appointed Bishop of Holguín on November 14, 2005, and was introduced to the office on December 11 of the same year.
