Hélio Adelar Rubert (born May 11, 1945 in Segredo , state of Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Santa Maria .

Life

Hélio Adelar Rubert was ordained a priest on December 18, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Vitória and titular bishop of Flenucleta on August 4, 1999 . The Archbishop of Vitória, Silvestre Luís Scandián SVD , donated him episcopal ordination on October 3rd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Ivo Lorscheiter , Bishop of Santa Maria, and João Bráz de Aviz , Bishop of Ponta Grossa . He chose IN CARITATE EXEMPLUM as his motto .

On March 24, 2004, he was appointed Bishop of Santa Maria. With the elevation to the archbishopric on April 13, 2011 he was appointed Archbishop of Santa Maria.
