Hell is a location in the north of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal . The majority of the population no longer has the name hell as an independent name for this location.
Location and description
The location is at an altitude of 200 m above sea level. NHN in the valley of the Briller Bach below the Bethesda Hospital Wuppertal on Nevigeser Straße in the south of the residential district of the same name Nevigeser Straße in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district . Neighboring locations are Hülsbeck , Dorrenberg , Wüstenhof , Lehmbruch , Dreckloch , Am Bredtchen , Holländische Heide and the Kuckelsberg immediately to the north . The Bethesda Church is located in the local area.

Hell is first recorded and labeled as a street settlement on the western side of today's Neviger Straße (Landesstraße 427) on the measuring table sheet from 1892. This was rebuilt in the years 1835 to 1835 between Elberfeld and Neviges as a toll road municipal road . On the Elberfeld city map from 1901, the location is labeled In der Hölle , as well as on the one from 1925 and the Wuppertal city map from 1930.
