The Hütsee is a quarry pond south of Kemmern in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg in Germany .
geography
The Hütsee is located at an altitude of 235 m on the southwestern outskirts of Kemmern, about eight kilometers north of Bamberg as the crow flies . The only inflow and outflow is the Main. The lake measures around 65,000 m² , with a length of 460 m and 160 m width. The bank circumference is around 1.2 km. Most of the shore is part of the Haßberge Nature Park and is a popular fishing area. A section near an adjacent sports field to the north is open for swimming.
