H10 Hotels (pronounced Atsche diez ) is the name of a hotel chain based in Barcelona , Spain . It consists of over 45 hotels in 16 locations. The first hotel was built in the early 1980s on the initiative of Josep Espelt in Tarragona on the Costa Daurada . H10 Hotels operates both city hotels and holiday hotels, both five-star hotels (17 percent) and four-star hotels (60 percent) and three-star hotels (24 percent).
Within Spain it takes sixth place among the hotel chains represented here in terms of number of rooms and second place in the Canary Islands thanks to the 17 hotel facilities there on La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
