The HMS Volage was a British sixth class 28 gun ship. Classified as a ship sloop , it corresponded to the size and armament of a sailing corvette.

history

In 1832, the HMS Volage was used to block the Dutch ports. On January 19, 1839, she was involved with the HMS Cruizer in the capture of Aden . In 1847 the ship was converted into a research ship and used as a powder hulk from 1855 onwards.
