First ascent by locals

The Habaum is a ridge which, as a continuation of the Linkerskopf north flank, runs north and separates the Bacherloch from the Rappenalptal . It has elevation points of 1,778 m and 1,713.4 m respectively. In the maps and in alpine literature it is often incorrectly referred to as a hay tree .

Although the Habaum only represents a ridge, it is nevertheless of tourist interest, because the most impressive scenic climb to the Linkerskopf runs over it . The Habaum can only be reached without a path over the steep grass from Petersälpele , whereby alpine experience, surefootedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessary. The paths that were partially still marked in older maps have all fallen into disrepair.
