At 2,459 m, the Linkerskopf is the highest grass mountain in the Allgäu Alps . It apparently forms the end of the Birgsauer Valley and offers a particularly attractive picture in winter because of its huge, smooth snow flank. It is one of the botanically richest mountains in the Eastern Alps . The glacier buttercup can only be found on the Linkerskopf in the Bavarian Alps. The linker head cannot be easily reached from any side. There is no marked path leading to it.
