Konstanze von Gutzeit

Konstanze von Gutzeit (born October 8, 1985 in Bochum ) is a German cellist.

Life

At the age of 3, Konstanze von Gutzeit began playing the cello on a converted viola as a student of Margret Wortelmann at the Bochum Music School . She received further lessons from Wolfgang Sellner, the solo cellist of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra , and Professor Wilfried Tachezi in Linz / Austria. In 1998 she began studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Heinrich Schiff . Konstanze von Gutzeit plays an original instrument by Gioffredo Cappa from 1677, which was made available to her by the Schulte-Uentrop Foundation.

Konstanze von Gutzeit made her debut as a soloist with the Pro Musica Orchester Salzburg at the age of 12. Since then, she has performed with many renowned orchestras, including the Orchester Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra , the Vienna Chamber Orchestra , the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt (Oder) , the Bruckner Orchestra Linz , the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck under Conductors such as Kurt Masur , Marek Janowski , Michael Hofstetter , Toshiyuki Kamioka , Heribert Beissel and Ingo Ingensand.

Prices

Since 1991 she has taken part in the “ Jugend musiziert ” competitions and won first prizes in the cello and chamber music categories at the national competition, most recently in the 2004 solo score with the highest number of points. As a member of the "Clara Schumann Piano Trio" she has a. a. has given concerts at the Salzburg Festival , the Rheingau Music Festival , the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival and in Japan, and with this ensemble also won the Eduard Söring Prize of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Classical Prize of the WDR and the city of Münster. In 2001, when she was 16, she was the youngest participant to win 1st prize and the so-called “Grand Prize” in all categories at the Austrian junior competition “Gradus ad Parnassum”.
